Things to do in a day trip to Mt Hood National Forest, Oregon, and Lavender Valley

Trillium Lake is one the most spectacular places to view the reflection of Mount Hood on the lake. It is an easily accessible path from the parking area. It’s a wonderful place and definitely, a must-go place if you are around. We did spend a generous amount of time around the lake and later headed to Timberline Lodge where we went to the visitor center and spent some time roaming around and seeing Mt Hood up close.

The next place we visited was Tamanawas Falls, it’s an easy hike in the beginning but after a while, you come across a bolder area which is a bit tricky. It is by far one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen.

If you are in Lavender season why not visit Lavender Valley. We did take some wonderful photos of the lavender farm with Mt Hood as the backdrop. It’s such an amazing place to visit with family and friends. The backdrop seemed so picturesque and the smell around the lavender bushes was just perfect and calming.
